Vocational Educational & Training

The Foundation's principal focus under this programme will be to provide funding to improve the employment opportunities for young adults (16-25) who need a second chance to join training or further education courses that could lead to employment or self-employment.

Examples of such opportunities for which funding may be supplied could include training or equipment for any of:

  • Trade skills - plumbing, bricklaying, carpentry
  • Hairdressing, beauty therapy, alternative medicine
  • Business studies, IT and computer studies
  • Equestrian studies
  • Catering
  • Medical and care services
  • Education and childcare

Preference will be given to projects where the applicant can demonstrate that a measurable difference will result and where the applicant is willing to pass that benefit on to others either directly or through a Foundation alumni programme. It is unlikely that tuition costs for first or post graduate degrees wil be supported unless the second chance criteria is satified.
